Step into my three-day Christmas Carousel woodturning course, where you'll create a delightful, heirloom-quality, working festive carousel. This project-based workshop is all about hands-on learning, with every figure and decorative element turned on the lathe under my step-by-step guidance. We’ll explore essential woodturning techniques, from lathe drilling including the use of indexing on the lathe, spindle turning, skew work, and more, plus decorative touches like painting and airbrushing. You’ll gain invaluable insights into work-holding methods to help with precision and control throughout the build, skills that will serve you well in future projects. As well as the main build we will also look at turning a nativity scene to decorate it. Whether you're an experienced woodturner or completely new to the craft, I’ll guide you through each process. And best of all? You’ll walk away not just with a stunning carousel but with the confidence and knowledge to tackle more projects on your woodturning journey.
